“Customer service is not a department, it’s an attitude!” – Unknown
We firmly believe in having that attitude.
KickPort recently received a note from a customer who received a rare unit
which inadvertently came out of the manufacturing process
with a problem. Doesn’t happen very often, if at all, however,
It was important that we take care of this promptly.
We were excited when we received this note following the
replacement of the defective unit:
“I received the replacement KickPort and the bass drum
impact pads last Friday, and I thank you so much for being
so attentive and for addressing the issue I has with the
first unit.
Having worked in customer service for CD
manufacturers, and the music business at large, for the
better part of 25 years has really made me appreciate the
guys who go the extra mile for their clients. I always
treated my clients with the respect I would hope to receive,
and you have gone out of your way to help me. So this is
thanks!
I installed the new KickPort promptly (and with your
included impact pad) and immediately played a high-volume
outdoor gig with it , and it performed flawlessly. For this
performance, I used an 18″ x 14″ Gretsch Catalina Club Jazz
bass drum and my own microphones (Audix D-6 on the kick),
and the soundman said, “Are you triggering the kick with a
sample!? How the hell did you get that sound outta that
little bitty drum?!”
That, to me, is the best example why the KickPort
works so well, and as advertised, or better! Also, your new
bass drum impact pads you thoughtfully included work magic!
I put one on the same kick, and the high-end partials became
even stronger. Great job on the impact pad!
I am a drummer/vocalist/guitarist of 31 years, a
producer/engineer, booking agent, promoter and writer. I
have drum-teched for Chris Layton (SRV’s Double Trouble) and
played with LA punk legend Billy Zoom, among many others. I
am currently touring and recording with swamp blues cat Bret
Mosley (www.bretmosley.com) and alt-country songbird Amy
McCarley (www.amymccarley.com).
Hope this (lengthy but heartfelt) note finds you
well.”
Warmest regards,
